Members and visitors should kindly take careful notice of the local rules, and the necessity to replace divots and repair pitch marks, avoid slow play at all times and to abide by the rules and etiquette of golf.
Local Rules
A ball maybe lifted without penalty cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole in the following circumstances (a ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course through the green):
• Through the green a ball that is embedded in it's own pitchmark in the ground other than in a hazard.
• A ball lying on any artificial surfaced path or road within the boundries of the course.
• Through the green a ball that comes to rest ina aeration hole.
• If a ball lies on or off the putting green but not in an imovable obstruction (sprinkler head) is on or within two club lengthsof th eball, intervening with play.
• A ball lying in any clearly defined sheep or whel track.
If a players ball lies in GUR or it interferes with a players stance or the area of his intended swing the player must take relife under ruloes 25-1.
Stones in Bunkers are moveable obstructions (rule 24-1 applies)
Out of Bounds
• All ground outside the boundary fences and wlls including the railway encolsure.
• 5th hole - in and beyond the white markes and ditch surrounding the green keepers huts
• 11th hole -
in and beyond the white markes and ditch to the left of the fairway
• 12th hole -
in and beyond the white markes and ditch between the 11th and 12th holes
• 18th hole -
in over he river (except the portion of the river between the bridge and wall marked by yellow markers)
• 18th hole -
all areas in and beyond the white markes and ditch in front of the club house
Water Hazards
• The ditches on the 1st, 8th, 9th, 1oth, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th holes are lateral water hazards defined by red stakes (see rule 26).
• The river on the 18th between the bridge and the wall marked witha yellow stake is a water hazard
